Measured Mental Ability, Service School Achievement and Performance,

Since World War II the Services have used the Armed Forces Qualification Test (AFQT) to screen draftees and enlistment applicants. This procedure assumes that higher scores on the AFQT indicate a higher productivity of individuals to the Armed Forces. The paper examines some of the evidence for this assumption. (Author)
