Molecular Laser Study 3-5 Microns

Abstract

The report presents some pertinent background on molecular lasers in the form of a brief review of N2-CO2-He lasers and the operation of plasma tubes. Discussion of laser emission from a mixture of H2-C2H2-He is presented. The operation of the first acetylene laser and identification of the lasing transition were performed.
