Album of Aerial Photographs of Ice Formations on Seas.

Abstract

The album presents in different scales aerial photographs of ice in all of the seas where the processes of ice formation occur, including the Antarctic and the Central Polar Basin. Here, in a strict system are presented plan and perspective aerial photographs of sea and continental ice, which, for the first time in this world, has been practically accomplished. The album is designed as a manual for the persons carrying out aerial ice reconnaissance in the seas, lakes and water basins. It must facilitate observations from aircraft of sea and continental ice and on the phenomena accompanying them, securing a uniformity of similar observations. At the same time it can be useful for identifying ice formations presented on aerial photographs. (Author)
