Preliminary Validity Report of the MOS Evaluation Test for Personnel Specialist MOS Code 716.1 (Administered: May 1964),

Abstract

The following conclusions are drawn from the study of the 1964 MOS evaluation test for Personnel Specialist, MOS Code 716.1: the total evaluation test had substantial validity (the validity coefficient, was .50; optimal weighting of BSMA's did not increase the validity of the total evaluation test (the shrunken multiple correlation was .52); and further increases in validity should be expected in future administration with proper item selection.
