International Conference on Hyperfine Interactions Detected by Nuclear Radiation, 6-11 Sept. 1970 Rehovoth and Jersusalem, Israel.

Abstract

The conference on hyperfine interactions dealt with new measurements of nuclear magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moments of isotopes and excited states of short lifetimes down to the order of picoseconds, and with the use of these atoms when implanted in solids for the measurement of internal fields. Measurement techniques reported included angular correlation methods, nuclear orientation at low temperatures, nuclear stroboscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance, Mossbauer effect, and optical pumping. New values for 30 nuclear g-factors and 3 quadrupole constants were reported. (Author)
