Failure-Damage Assessment Technique for High-Pressure Gas Containment Vessels,

Abstract

A necessary adjunct to the design of any high-pressure inert or explosive gas system is a failure-damage analysis wherein the gas storage system is assumed to rupture catastrophically and the resultant structural damage to the surroundings is assessed. This report describes the techniques that can be used to make a rapid preliminary damage assessment for such a case. (Author)
