Utility Infrasonic Monitoring System, M-7.

Abstract

A Utility Infrasonic Monitoring System, M-7, functionally similar to the M-4 system developed by ESSA, was designed and developed. The system is easy to transport and install, operable without commercial power or telephone lines, and workable for extended periods without servicing. The system is provided with noise-reducing arrays, sensors, electronics equipment, a timing system, and both magnetic-tape and ink-on-paper-tape recorders. The system can operate with a single sensor or with as many as six sensors, and it can record all data at a single location or at each sensor. (Author)
