Investigation of Pressure Distribution in Slide Bearing by the Photoelasticity Method,

Abstract

The character of distribution of contact pressures along the peripheries of models of flat linings for two limiting cases is revealed. In the first case, a shaft and bushing made from the same material were examined, for which the ratio of moduli of normal elasticity was equal to one. In the second case the ratio of moduli of materials of the shaft and bushing was equal to 6000. Models of lining were made from epoxy resin. (P.S.-PL)
