Abstract

Most of the major cruises of oceanographic research vessels include marine geological programs. The recent international cooperative survey programs were usually devoted to several phases of marine geology. Cruise tracks and research vessels used in major deep-sea expeditions during 1873 and 1960 are described by Wust. (Author)
