Electronic Properties of Semiconducting Ferromagnetic Materials.

Abstract

The research described in the report is divided into three distinct sections. The first two are concerned with studies of the electrical properties and the photoconductivity of various CdCr2Se4 materials. The goal here was to increase our understanding of the electronic centers which control the unique properties of these ferromagnetic semiconductors. The final section consists of a detailed assessment of CdCr2Se4:In as a potential improved bolometer material. (Author)
