A Versatile Microphotometry System,

Abstract

The system consists of a Hilger non-recording microphotometer fitted with a 2-speed motor drive and the standard photomultiplier detector conversion, to which two alternative read-out modes are attached. A digital voltmeter, optionally feeding a strip-printer, provides a rapid high-precision system for routine emission spectrography. A potentiometric recorder, brought into operation by a change-over switch, provides a permanent record of measurements, also with good precision, particularly for applications in which spectral interferences, structure etc. are of importance.
