X-Ray Spectrometry of Galactic Sources Seen from the Southern Hemisphere.

Abstract

The main subject of the investigation performed under the auspices of the AFOSR-68-1592 Grant was the study of the galactic X-ray sources seen from the southern hemisphere. As a byproduct, the detection of soft X-rays following the electron-capture decay of radioactive sources was studied. The investigation on glactic X-rays was centered in one experiment carried out in Argentina in November 26, 1969. A balloon-borne equipment was launched in order to detect the X rays from the Centaurus XR-4 source. (Author)
