Synthesis of bis(gamma-Aryloxy-beta-Chloropropyl) Sulfides and Disulfides and Study of Their Use as Antiwear and Antiseizing Additives for Oils,

Abstract

The authors synthesized 8 new bis-(gamma-aryloxy-beta-chloropropyl) sulfides and disulfides, not previously described in the literature, by reacting sulfur chlorides with allylaryl esters. They established that the obtained sulfides and disulfides possess good antiwear and anticorrosion properties. (Author)
