A Method of Obtaining a Plastic Lubricant for Bearings,

Abstract

The report discusses a preparative method for a bearing lubricating grease, involving thickening of rosin, universal oil and castor oil with lithium and potassium soaps of fatty acids. To raise the effectiveness of the grease, zinc oxide and lead oxides are also added to it during the thickening. A variant of the method specifies the use of soaps of given synthetic fatty acids.
