Connections Between Axially-Symmetric and Two-Dimensional Field Problems.

Connections are developed between axially-symmetric and two-dimensional problems in potential theory and elasticity. It is shown that a mixed boundary-value problem in axially-symmetric potential theory can be solved via a non-mixed problem in two dimensions. (Author)
