Immunoprophylaxis for Control of Dirofilaria immitis.

Abstract

A brief account is given of the need for a study on immunizing dogs against Dirofilaria immitis. Reports of studies on the use of x-irradiated infective larvae of other species of parasitic nematodes as immunizing agents are mentioned. A summary of progress made during the first year of study is included. (Author)
