The Correspondence of Hydroabrasive Wear Resistance and the Hardness of Heat-Treated Steels,

Abstract

The results of a study made of the abrasive wear of various types of structural steel caused by friction against fixed abrasive particles (an abrasive cloth), carried out by the author and a collaborator, are confirmed by research carried out in Switzerland on a hydroabrasive-wear machine. The results of the Swiss tests are compared with the previously mentioned results of the author. (Author)
