Some Features of the Development and Combustion of a Gas Jet in the Circulation Zone Behind a Stabilizer,

Abstract

As a result of the conducted analysis the basic characteristics of development and burning of a gas jet in the turbulent wake behind a stabilizer are clarified and the working relationships which make it possible to estimate the length of the spray along a stabilizer and the conditions of the stability of its burning are obtained. On the basis of these data a procedure was developed for the calculation and design of jet gas burners, making it possible to create gas burners which guarantee highly intensive and stable combustion of gas fuel of over a wide range of loads and air surplus factors.
