Oxidizability of Oils with Additives Under Engine Working Conditions by a Chemiluminescence Method,

Abstract

The method proposed for estimating the quality of lubricating oils makes it possible to reveal the determining rules for establishment of relative work capacity of oils; addition with an increase in the period of testing the radiation intensity of waste oil in the engine decreases. The radiation of fresh and waste oil in the engine rises with an increase in the temperature. The higher indexes of radiation intensity waste oils in an engine correspond to oils with better physicochemical properties. (Author)
