On the Distributions of Plasmas and Electric Fields over the Auroral Zones and Polar Caps,

Abstract

Simultaneous observations of DC electric fields and low-energy charged particles at low altitudes over the earth's auroral zones and polar caps were obtained with the satellite Injun 5. Several of the principal results for the evening and dawn local time sectors are summarized.
