Abstract

The report describes the theory, details and performance of the laboratory prototype of a small-scale Fourier spectrometer to measure the absolute spectral intensity of the radiation from the Earth or other planets in the 10 to 40 micrometer range from aircraft, balloons, rockets or satellites.
