Gastric Secretion with Different Timing of Qualitatively Dissimilar Food Ingestion and Application of Physical Load (Sekretopnaya Deyatelznostz pri Razlpchnykh Sochetanyakh vo Vreneni Priema Kachestvenno Raznoi Pishchi s Fizicheskoi Nagruzkoi),

Abstract

Test conducted on dogs indicated that a static physical load applied 30 and 60 minutes after food ingestion depressed gastric secretion. The intake of predominately fatty, mixed and carbohydrate-rich food was seen to produce a particularly strong inhibitory effect. A physical load applied 90 to 120 minutes following digestion of food did not affect gastric secretion. A relatively mild depression effect of physical load was noted after intake of predominately protein-rich food. (Author)
