On Some Features of Plasma Flow from a Discharge in Magnetic Field of Up to 100 k0e.

Abstract

It is shown that a nonmonotonic dependence of the intensity of the ion component of an outflowing plasma on the magnetic field strenth as well as the formation of a tubular plasma flux can be observed when plasma flows from a hot-cathode discharge in a magnetic field of up to 100 k0e. A large radial electric field is localized in the discharge zone opposite the outlet. An interpretation of this phenomenon is given. (Author)
