R/V Chain Cruise No. 97 January 2-12, 1970.

Abstract

The report describes a single-leg cruise, with three moorings to be set and six to be recovered. Engineering tests were to be made, and scientific data to be collected included not only the customary information on ocean currents but biological material. Because of limited time and almost certain bad weather, little additional incidental work was planned, with the exception of a line of hydro stations to be made from Site D sub 1 to the Continental Shelf.
