Asymptotic Stability and Instability Criteria for Some Elastic Systems by Liapunov's Direct Method,

Abstract

Sufficient conditions for asymptotic stability and instability are derived here for some elastic systems with dissipation. The systems are assumed to be governed by autonomous partial differential equations which may be non-self-adjoint. The method of analysis is Liapunov's direct method. (Author)
