Enthalpy of Formation of Beryllium Fluoride.

Abstract

The enthalpy of formation of beryllium fluoride was determined by measuring the heat of the reaction PbF2(c) + Be(c) = BeF2(s) + Pb(c). The heat of formation of crystalline beryllium fluoride was found to be -245.75 plus or minus 0.37 kcal/mole (-1028.2 plus or minus 1.5 kj/mole). (Author)
