PDP-9 Basic Interpreter,

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to explain how and in what form a limited instruction set of the BASIC language was programmed for the Digital Equipment Corporation PDP-9, an 8K word computer with an average instruction execution time of 1.6 micro seconds. The BASIC instructions presently operational are LET, PRINT, IF THEN, GO TO, READ, DATA, and END. Programs may be saved and loaded by paper tape, and may be about 250 statements in length. PDP-9 BASIC programs' real time run time are about four times longer than run times in Dartmouth Time-Sharing. (Author)
