Realisation d'un Modele Stochastique pour un Canal de Communication a Partir d'Experiences d'Entree/Sortie (Realization of a Stochastic Model for a Communication Channel from Input-Output Experiments),

Abstract

The heterogeneous Markov chain model, which generalises Moore's deterministic automation, is converted into a finite state channel with memory (Shannon). It allows one to get an external description of the machine using a state vector representation. Assuming that such a representation exists, and after the evaluation of the system's rank (supposed equal to the number of states), a first pseudo-realisation is built (using Gilbert's and Carlyle's procedure). A new algorithm then gives a properly stochastic model, having physical meaning. (Author)
