Abstract

The report describes the methods, techniques, and test requirements necessary for the determination of the degree to which gyroscopic direction finding equipment is suitable for Army use. Such equipment can provide artillery units with a rapid, reliable means for establishing directional control in tactical situations, thereby expediting survey operations.
