A Re-Evaluation of the Classical Model for NMR Reliability.

Abstract

The classical method for calculating the reliability of a Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR), or more generally an NMR, network when more than half of the modules have failed is shown to be incorrect. A procedure which properly evaluates this reliability is presented. NMR is the generalized form of TMR where the sections are replicated N times rather than just three. (Author)
