Cosmic Ray Interactions (10 to the 11th power) to (10 to the 13th power) eV,

Abstract

A sample of 1167 single cosmic rays near sea level is analyzed from the data recorded by an interleaved stack of cloud and ionization chambers, and carbon and iron plates. The results include lossrate curves in iron and carbon, mean free path in carbon, and energy spectra of charged hadrons (largely pions) and neutrons. (Author)
