Application of Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometric Techniques to the Analysis of Stainless Steels.

Abstract

Methods of analysis for nickel, cobalt, aluminum, and titanium in stainless steels by the use of aqueous standards are described. The various methods of sample dissolution are discussed, as are standard preparation and instrument parameters. Some preliminary work on the analysis for chromium is also included. Analytical results of NBS stainless steel chip standards indicate good agreement with the certified values. (Author)
