Waveform Analysis.

Abstract

The report consists of one chapter and three appendices. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the techniques of waveform analysis described in Appendix I are effective in detecting and segmenting for classification events of interest to USL. The conclusion, is that even the simplest of these techniques is effective in the detection problem, and that they provide a segmentation of the waveform that suggests that event classification will be possible by applying standard pattern recognition techniques to the segmented waveform.
