The Application of Extreme Value Statistics to Radar Systems Evaluation.

Abstract

The technique of extreme value statistics (EVS) developed by Gumbel has been applied to the laboratory evaluation of radar systems. A computer program has been written using the EVS technique to provide false-alarm probabilities, confidence limits, and design information. Two test cases are included to provide a comparison of this technique with previous techniques. A set of plots for use in testing the applicability of the theoretical model to a given set of experimental data also are included. (Author)
