Ultrasonic Investigation of Superconducting Pairs, Spiral Spins, and Nuclear Spin Waves.

Abstract

The results of research on the following investigations are reported: the study of the properties of type I and type II superconductors by using ultrasonic techniques; the study of electron phonon interaction for transverse waves when the electromagnetic skin depth is comparable to the ultrasonic wavelength; the study of the interaction of nuclear spin waves with transverse ultrasonic waves; and the study of spin phonon interaction in the spin spiral phase of the rare earth metals in the presence of an external magnetic field.
