Analyses of Atmospheric Chemical Releases.

Abstract

A program of analysis and interpretation of photometrically-calibrated photographic and vidicon images of chemical releases in the upper atmosphere is described. Contributions to the program also included photometer measurements of the resonance scattering of sunlight by clouds of atoms, calibration of the relative aperture of camaera lenses at near-ultraviolet wavelengths and construction of a standard uniform-radiance light source for use in the field.
