Wide Dynamic Range Barrier Grid Storage Tube, TCM-14.

Abstract

Research was centered on the improvement of the disturbance to signal ratio. Some of the reasons leading to a poor contact between the grid and the dielectric have been eliminated (creases, 'waffering', dust, alumina grain) but a certain non uniformity of attack of the backplate by sandblasting is still observed. Attempts have been made again to obtain a 'monobloc' target. the main difficulty is the rubbing off of the copper on the SiO squares without wasting the copper netting.
