Capillary Wave Project.

Abstract

The Capillary Wave project was started on April 1, 1956. An instrument carriage, a wave probe array, and wind sending instruments were built on the project. The calibration of the wave probe caused considerable difficulty and further work on this will be described in a furture report. The calibration of the wave probe caused considerable difficulty and further work on this will be described in a future report. After the calibration was decided upon, one channel of each of the 146 records obtained under different conditions of fetch, wind speed, and air water temperature difference was digitized and spectral analyzed.
