Pacific Air Safety Search and Rescue Symposium held at Sheration-Palace Hotel, San Francisco, California on 29-31 October 1968.

Abstract

The Pacific Air Safety--Search and Rescue Symposium was initiated by Commander, Western Area, United States Coast Guard in concert with the Director, Pacific Region, Federal Aviation Administration, to afford an opportunity for representatives of governmental agencies, armed forces, allied nations, interested organizations, industry and operator/user to engage in discussion on subjects vital to improvement of equipment, techniques and methods employed in survival, search and rescue, and other aviation safety matters. An agenda of presentations, panel discussions and workshop meetings, designed to encourage an exchange of experience and ideas which would further that end, was followed and is contained in Appendix A.
