Pattern Recognition Model Based on Cortical Anatomy.

Abstract

The report presents material supporting a model for pattern recognition that closely approximates the connectivity evident in the neurons of the cerebral cortex. A computer simulation of the model was tested on three sets of patterns (letters and geometric figures) and the results show that pattern separation is generally the same as for a human. (Author)
