VLF-Propagation Measurement Technique Using Repetitive Pulse Spectral Lines.

Abstract

A concept is presented which utilizes the spectral sidebands of VLF repetitive-pulse transmission to greatly increase the number of frequencies available for VLF sounder measurements. A theoretical analysis of the concept is developed, the prototype equipment is described, and samples of VLF sounder data acquired in the initial field-test evaluation are given. (Author)
