The manual explains the services performed by the Data Operations Subsystem of the ITDS. It describes work procedures and management policies that are essential for efficient, constructive, and reliable performance of the functions of data operations. Included are: Acquisition and management of reference documents and related data; Processing of inquiries to the ITDS data bank; Production of periodic reports; Production of exception reports; Administrative management of an active item system; Intra-organization communications; and Data base management.
