Research in Space Photogrammetry.

Abstract

This report gives the results of a study program to design experiments in atmospheric optics. The proposed program will provide a scientific study of those parameters of terrain and atmosphere which influence seeing through the atmosphere. In addition, it will provide an opportunity for testing out various practical photographic systems. The ultimate aim is to gain experience which will allow prior selection of the best photographic system to use when the kind of terrain to be mapped and the general meteorological conditions are known. A theoretical study and a suggested experimental procedure in stellar photography is also presented. (Author) ?
