After Action Report. Evaluation of Off-Shore Discharge of Containerships, 5-9 December 1970.
Abstract
An interim investigation was made of procedures and techniques applicable to equipment now on hand for the off-shore discharge of containerships. It was found that containerships can be discharged by air and surface lighters in an over-the-beach operation. Under the weather conditions experienced during the evaluation air operations were more successful than the surface operation.
