The Distribution, Quantity and Biology of the Sea Otter (O Rasprostranenii, Chislennosti i Biologii Kalanov),
Abstract
The history of sea otter populations and hunting in North Pacific coastal areas is outlined. Special attention is paid to the sea otters inhabiting the Kurile Islands and Kamchatka regions. The habitats, food and life cycle of the animals are discussed in greater detail. (Author)
