Identification of Model Parameters from Input Output Data of Dynamic Systems with Time Delays.

Abstract

The paper investigated identification problems for a dynamic system which can be described by differential-difference equations. Subjects important to the identification problem, such as controllability, observability, and equivalent systems were studied. Three identification schemes were developed. The determination of impulse response weighting matrix for a linear delay-differential system was studied and a realization algorithm was developed. An integral approximation method was developed for an off-line system identification ina finite time interval. An algorithm was also developed for an on-line identification according to the model reference control theory and Liapunov stability technique. The developed computational algorithm was verified by a digital simulation. (Author)
