Abstract

Studies concerned with the improvement of medical services are presented. These studies support the recommendations for reorganized health care presented in Volume 2 (AD-722 972). They pertain to ancillary personnel for primary medical care and for restorative dentistry, a few possible improvements in nursing services, multiphasic testing, elimination of obstetric services (by providing them exclusively through CHAMPUS), patient monitoring equipment, and the inpatient surveys which led to the concept of a light care facility.
