Abstract

As has been mentioned in previous reports, the program consists of: The investigation of the electric pinch; Development of methods for producing a cylindrically symmetric plasma completely free of spurious oscillations and instabilities; Utilization of such a plasma for investigations of various kinds of plasma waves; Studies of the beam-plasma interaction of a thin electron stream injected along the axis of such a cylindrically symmetric plasma.
