Abstract

The International Relations Archive undertakes as its primary goals the acquisition, management and dissemination of international affairs data. The first goal in the present study was concerned with thee measurement of political instability. The second goal was a search for the correlates of internal conflict behavior. The investigators were not concerned with the dynamics underlying stability in any one particular country but with the determinants of stability within all national political systems. The timespan of events appearing in the data set is 1948-1965.
