Converging Factors for Dawson's Integral and the Modified Bessel Function of the First Kind.

Abstract

The mathematical theory underlying the converging factor for Dawson's integral is developed, and original tables of this factor and its reduced derivatives (correct to 30 decimal places) are presented. Furthermore, it is shown how these data can be used to evaluate the corresponding converging factor for the modified Bessel function of the first kind. Specific examples are given of the application of these tables to the evaluation of such functions to high precision. (Author)
